| Hi all, my condolences to the families of the kids and other staff members of that school in Connecticut who lost their lives in that mindless shootout. Any death is always poignant - moreso if a young life is plucked away even before it blooms. I do hope at least now the powers that be in the USA sit up and talk of gun control. Mr Obama are you listening? |

| Hi All, As of now the hot topic all over is wether or not to allow FDI in retail. My own opinion is that there is no point in bringing in a foreign player into a field where we already have enough expertise. The government points out several advantages of bringing in foreign players - farmers will be benefited, consumers will be benefited prices will stabilise etc. But these are advantages that will come in even if the investment comes from Indian players. The one and only advantage I see of bringing in foreign players is that they will bring in additional capital, certainly not additional expertise. It is for us therefore to decide wether we need additional capital in this sector or not. But anyway its too late. FDI in Retail has received parliament approval. |

| Hi All, The police in Maharashtra went overboard in arresting those three innocent youngsters who made some harmless comments on FACEBOOK. The comments were so simple and harmless that nobody would ever have imagined the response they evoked from the police. It appears to me that some cops just wanted to impress the powers that be in the all powerful shiv sena. |

| Dear All, At the outset I pay my respects to Anna Hazare Sahab for his relentless crusade against corruption in high places. However it is my humble opinion that this scourge cannot be cured with more doses of legislation however stringent they maybe. We already have several laws against corruption in spite of which the phenomenon has grown massively both in terms of amount of monies involved and sheer blatant nature of the corrupt. Today no honest Indian can say \"I will not give a bribe\" but yes we can say \"I will not take a bribe\". Jai Hind |

| Cost of living is increasing dramatically. I would say hand symbol utter failure controlling rising prices and other hand giving too much subsidies. National Statistics and ground reality never match. Long live India and short live culprits. |
